Overview
SOUTHERN VIKING is a semi-displacement power Catamaran designed for comfort and stability while underway or at anchor. Catamarans provide a very spacious, stable platform compared to mono hulls of a similar length. Her normal cruising speed allows access to most Islands in the Hauraki Gulf within one hour.

Southern Viking is 13.6 metres long, and is powered by 2 shaft-driven Volvo 310 HP diesels, which allow for a comfortable cruising speed of 18-20 knots.

Instruments include a 1,000 m depth/echo sounder and fish finder, a comprehensive GPS chart plotter, auto pilot and a 24 mile radar. The boat carries a complete inventory of safety equipment to extreme limits of survey requirements.

The layout of Southern Viking is ideal for entertaining, fishing and diving. The internal design incorporates a large galley area complete with Fridge & Freezer, Microwave and household sized Gas Oven.

The rear of the main saloon is extremely spacious and incorporates a large dining table (which converts to a double berth if required), an entertainment centre with DVD and CD Player, Bar facilities and a dinette area which adjoins the rear cockpit.

The cockpit area is spacious and is ideally setup with two game chairs and an additional Fridge & Freezer plus live bait tanks all within easy reach. The futuristic enclosed hard-top flying bridge is large and comfortably appointed with seats for 12 guests and provides good visibility in all directions.
